Many of my very favorites have returned, but I also noticed many I'm completely unfamiliar with! Definitely will be something interesting for EVERY FIDDLER, VIOLIST & CELLIST!

This Online Festival is NOT just for fiddlers in the USA!
FIDDLE HELL ONLINE!
April 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th
There's still a discount for seniors (think there's also some other discounts).
ONE price, includes access to EVERYTHING mentioned in the previous post!
GREAT opportunity to try out new tunes, styles, different fiddle genres, plus usually some music theory - from many expert fiddlers who know how to teach others at ANY stage of learning - ask questions!
If you want to jam, there's a common tunes list on the Fiddle hell site that 'Jams' pick from (check it out)! The 'Concerts' show an amazing array of talent - an education as well as entertainment!
💥 If you miss something, EVERYTHING IS RECORDED to use for at least THREE MONTHS - practice, catch up, enjoy!
This April 'online' Festival has some fabulous benefits over the 'live' festival in November.
It's an exceptionally well organized event that is super user-friendly!
SCHEDULE IS NOW AVAILABLE!!!
...any questions?

I am very much looking forward to this! It'll be my first time participating this year.
I'm hoping to attend as many sessions live as possible (and maybe I'll see you @ELCBK and others there!) but with a little toddler around, I might have to rely on watching the recordings on some

Woo Hoo! 🤗 VERY exciting news!
Which workshops, jams or concerts you are looking forward to most?
Instructors really appreciate seeing who they are talking to, but sometimes I have so much going on around me I watch 'incognito' (with my camera disabled), because I don't want to appear disrespectful.
With our camera on (or off), there might be a little chit-chat at the beginning of each workshop, but then we are asked to 'mute' until the host says we can unmute again. Questions can also be asked in the chat box of each workshop, but host may tell you to unmute & just ask.
I haven't picked out my workshop priorities yet, but I try to sit in on ones I know I'll have questions for.
Can't wait to see you there!

Thanks for the insight on how these sessions go! I'm new to fiddling (but not the violin!) so I'm prioritizing the workshops and jams for beginners...and hopefully watch some concerts to immerse myself in the music. Maybe listen in on the more advanced ones so I know where I'm headed

Watch the 'level 3' workshops, unless you've never learned from a video tutorial - instructors try not to let anyone get lost. 'Level 4' workshops probably won't seem as advanced as you might think.
Lead sheets, other 'handouts' might be offered for new tunes (but not always) - very helpful if you can watch/listen/then play, as instructors usually slowly repeat a bar (or 2) at a time. For technique & improvisation workshops - there may not be any handouts, but found they are usually relaxing exercises.
I've only had trouble with a few workshops, like some Latin ones - when I couldn't internalize a rhythm well/fast enough. I also had trouble when an advanced workshop dealt with using too much electronic software, too quickly (for me)... stuff I should've familiarized myself with some, beforehand (and was forewarned in the workshop description).
Anyway, pretty sure you'll enjoy whatever you think sounds interesting!
