Hey everybody!

Sorry about the late posting, we've been without power for a few days!  Thank goodness for acoustic instruments!  wink

We have another Civil War Reenactment coming up and it's the biggest in the Midwest region!  There will be several different pockets of musicians throughout the event including myself and a formal ball on Saturday night!  A friend of mine (period banjo player) will be heading up the ball with some very talented musicians on Fife, Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Irish Flute, Period Banjo, Guitar and Harmonica!

For those who like a little more action, after the ball, all  the artillery divisions will host a night fire featuring over 20 full scale cannons!  Battles will take place on both days as well as camp musician performances and demonstrations of Civil War Camp life!  It's going to be a fun event!

Hope to see some of you there!

Wish this were closer to where we live. My husband and I not only love fiddle music, but Civil War stuff, as well.

On a related note, Antietam National Battlefield recently held a Civil War music weekend. Unfortunately, we learned about it too late or we might have driven down for it. Maybe next year.

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Oh wow!!!  I didn't even know about that!!!  I know we'll be heading out east for the major 150th anniversary battles, but that would be neat to see an event dedicated to the music!!
