I found out recently that an old schoolmate of mine is the son of one of my YouTube inspirations:

Unfortunately, Oregon is too far from Kansas for me to take advantage of the connection. My schoolmate did clue me in to what looks like a fun event for those in or near Oregon.

I don't think he will mind if I quote him here:
