Ran across this info again, here in another thread - thought I should mention it for everyone in the UK, especially anyone within driving distance to Oxford.

The Oxford Slow Session is for people to learn session music... slowly!

The Oxford Slow Session is still meeting on Zoom or outside, and still doing their 'Tune A Month' with a great little archive of session sheet music - info here:

When Covid restrictions are gone, if this seems too far to drive you might ask if they know of similar sessions for you, more local!

@ELCBK - Nice find, Emily. Have added the link to my browser favorites.

Have any of you tried this yet? Thoughts?

Once covid restrictions are completely over, I'm sure they will only want local/live participation.

I was hoping someone might know of something similar here in the states - just seems like such a great idea to get more people involved, that might otherwise be intimidated by faster sessions/jams.

According to their website, "Since there will still be people who can’t be in Oxford because it’s too far away or they are still shielding, Zoom will continue, even if it is from the park… and in the distant future (I hope) from the pub.".

Next session is September 5, 3.30pm in England or in USA, 9:30am Central, 10:30am Eastern.
