Violin means small viola.

Also, the C clef (alto clef if centered on the staff) is the oldest clef in Western music. Even before the staff was standardized to five lines, you can see medieval plainchant notated with an early form of the C clef.

Geez, so mad at myself - recently read (or heard) somewhere about the 1st violins only had 3 strings - just can't remember where, now. 🙄

I wasn't trying to make any point.

I've just noticed the bridge looks pretty flat, but that may be a trick of the photography.

Also those f-holes have no notches.

It's a traditional Hungarian viola, btw.

Traditional instruments are nice, but it's sacrilege if you don't play traditional music on them. I used to have a charango, but I swapped it for a complete set of Thomas the Tank Engine, lol!
