Test - the 3-violas .mscz file attached.... here's what happens step by step
(1) I'm allowed to drop it into the uploads box - it's still queued
(2) I click "Start upload"
(3) It appears to complete - and this appears in my edit screen
I'll post it, then open the post again... (that's what USED to happen, but only admins could see it - if I or other non-admins opened the post, the attachment was not there) - OK let's see what happens - there'll be a follow-up status post...
OH - @Charles - I do not get the "File extension error" message.... that's interesting (and I never ever did, even a year back).....
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Follow-up status - @Fiddlerman and @charles - yup - that now works for me ! I simply click on the .mscz file and it downloads. Coolio !!!
Thanks Pierre.
Dunno what your residual problem is though Charles....

Hey @charles - you didn't by any chance attempt to upload the MuseScore work-space file - the filename with the comma on the end "mscz," (I think it keeps a track of edits/undo/re-do etc) - as distinct from the actual score itself ?????
I get the file-extension error if I try that - which would be expected....

Nope, still can't upload. I can download the one you posted, no trouble, but I get this error when I try step 1 of your upload procedure above:
File extension error.
File: Game_of_Thrones_backing-track.mscz
No commas that I can see.
@OldOger, see if you can upload that .mscz file you downloaded. (Although if either of you are admins, this is pointless, because we know they have abilities we ordinary mortals do not.

Trying this - @charles
Tune_001-a_Copy.mscz (it's got underscore and hyphens in the file name )
... it appears to work.
... hmm - and no - neither I nor OO are admins here... ( although I'm an admin on chat - yup @OldOgre try re-posting it back if you don't mind !)

OK @charles - I have the MS file you successfully sent me on chat yesterday.... I'm about to attach it, unchanged -
Game_of_Thrones_backing-track.mscz
Well - blow me down !
???????????????????
I'll say that again - ????????????? LOL
Hmmmmmm

I renamed it to a .wav file and it accepted that. I tried .jpg first, and it complained about not being able to find the image size. As far as I know, .wav doesn't have any internal structure like a jpg or mp3 does. It's just a string of bytes.
(For those who aren't computer geeks, you'll have to rename to have '.mscz' on the end instead '.wav'. And I guess it would play as a .wav, but I doubt you'll like it much, unless you have a thing for static...
@BillyG, first thing I tried was changing the name to something short (GOTbking.mscz, I think it was.) Didn't help. Thing's weirder than snake shoes.

Yes @charles - I can confirm that works (i.e I downloaded your .wav and renamed to .mscz - and it was fine in MuseScore)
I think, in the past, it was maybe @kindascratchy did a similar thing by faking the file by renaming it to a .pdf - but - that's all a bit strange and confusing for some......
It will still be interesting when @OldOgre gets round to re-posting the one from me he managed to read and see if he can post it or not....

Very last thought @charles - although I suspect you may well of course already have done this - have you tried logging-out and back in to get an entirely new session on WP ? It's possible the permissions granted are local to the session... just guessing of course... (although - as I did mention before - even in the "old days" when only admins saw the mscz attachments - I never experienced the "File extension error" thing....). All very curious... You're not behind some weird firewall at work or anything that only has certain file types white-listed for outgoing ? Clutching at straws here... LOL

Game-of-Thrones-3-violas.msczok here is my test to upload.
With violins there is no fretting over the music.

Yes, I tried that as soon as Fiddlerman posted that it had been changed.

Not that I know of. Windows 10 or Mcafee for a software firewall, and a standard NATing router. Besides, that wouldn't explain why you can't upload it either...

@Ripton - All the tracks uploaded in posts 16 and 17 should work, but so far @Fiddlerman hasn't blessed any of them as official.
The drum (or blocks) part will play at the stated BPM, so as a click track it should be fine.
The ones in post 16 don't have an intro measure; the one in 17 does. As I stated then, I wanted to get some feedback from people on it before generating 18 kajillion versions (and uploading them) again.
If what you want is something that will keep the beat accurately, they should work fine, and the chords played will harmonize.
