Well Katha Elaine has me playing a tune with her she plucked out on her guitar. I picked up the melody pretty easy and can play along but I have no idea what key I am in. I'm trying to let her break out and just play chords or harmonize but can't figure out the right notes. (I know the chords G, C, D, and Em). The song sounds better starting with B (2nd on G string) but the chords don't seem to blend well. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

Ripton, that's a standard key of G progression G is the 1, C is the 4, D is the 5 and Em is the 6th cord of the progression thats a pretty standard combination for the key of G THE Am is the 2nd cord of the progression thats used also frequently.
