I was wondering what it sold for and it sounds like you got an insane deal pky!!! It's rare to get a really nice item for a price like that!!!!  dancing

Yeah!! I know! the FM said it play as well as his $4,000 Nürnberger bow!

On the other side sorry you lost out on the deal FM, but at least you know it's going to someone who is here on your website!  🙂

who will take good care of it, make good use of it, and may pass it down to her daughter one day.

True, I'm really happy for Pky. It went to the right personbirthday_balloon

It's got a great feel and I am definitely keeping one of those bows for myself.

Glad you won it Pky.  I have one and love it so when I heard you were bidding on it I stopped.  Better you get it than me.

Yeah, I also dropped out of the bidding, too when I saw others from Fiddlerman.com vying for it. (Well ...that, and the fact that I wasn't sure how well-suited to playing on a viola it would be. I'm not that altruistic.wink

I doubt I could've found a similar deal for a viola bow. But if I do ... watch out! cool

Congrats! cheers

There are other similar deals on Ebay but I am not sure how good those bows are. I have a feeling there are quite a few factories in China producing these bows. These are tested and approved. Three of the 10 I refuse to sell.

Thanks for dropping out 😛

BTW, there are differences between violan and violin bows, e.g., weight (viola bows are about 10 grams heavier than violin bow), like the length (not much), balance point etc.

Congratulations BCShalom and thanks,

It's not the last, I have 7 and will keep one for myself. I sent it today already, will email you the details. I rosined and tested it before sending it to make sure that it was a great bow. You will be very happy with it....

I think you misunderstood me when I said that if I don't get the buy now price I would not put them up on Ebay that way anymore.

Did the FM put another one on ebay? If he did, i didn't even see it, it was gone just like that? Just curious, how much did it sell for?

I received mine yesterday -- fast shipping and great package! I was wondering what he was going to use for mailing the bow, now I know, LOL! My daughter loves the tube, she says she wants to play with it.

I briefly tried out my new bows -- My first feeling is they don't glide on the strings as much as my old bows, they are smoother (my old bows tend to have the choking sound like when someone is choking a duck/goose/chicken). My new bows do not bounce on the strings either. I've got a great deal!! Thank you! Fiddlerman! (I still have to work on my bowing skills though!)

Curious curious curious!! What are you going to sell in your on line store? Violin? Viola? bows? violin accessaries? Sheet music? I better stop buying things from other on line store:P

I think he said he was trying to get a license or something to sell strings, from an older post or shout box comment I saw? (Don't quote me on this though.)

On "Cheap eBay violins" … Just tell people they are like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  With a little love, and some practice, they too can be made beautiful.

I have everything ready. I have my LCC, FL state tax resale license, merchant services, business account, Great Domain and host, postal services and a lot of top wholesale vendors.

I am making sure that everything works smoothly, stocking up on products that are popular, getting ready for great grand opening sales 🙂

Entering thousands of products takes months. 🙁

I want to do this the right way from the start. You guys will all get a coupon code for an additional 15% for being special Fiddlerman.com members. I'll be doing product reviews and link-backs. I'm hoping you guys can help spread the word so that I can sell more and keep the prices down. It won't be easy to make ends meet but I'll do my best.

I will be selling everything imaginable from strings and ALL accessories for string instruments to electric, cables, effect boxes and pedals, etc. If I don't already have it I'll get it at the best possible prices. I can't guarantee that I'll beat everyones prices all the time but most of the time. A few merchants buy thousands of one product to get the price down and sell with almost no margins just to get the business. A great example would be Amazon.

Right now I am experimenting with strings to promote my favorite. Even though I have tried tens of string types in my life and stuck to a few, I am learning all the time. My recent discoveries include BETTER multi-stranded steel core Helicore strings from D'addario. The strands appear to make the string more flexible and still give that added power that is so desirable. Also Zyex composite strings from D'addario. They may be the solution to replacing my favorite Obligato strings for good. I just want to test them for a longer period of time before saying. Plus they are made right here in good ol USAthumbs-up
