This is a great project. I've never done anything like this before. My new violin likes this music and the arrangement is so nicely done that it's not difficult to play. I feel good about the first violin part and am still working on the second violin part. It's harder to cheat when you don't have the melody!
Love the click tracks, which keep my attempts to count, on track.
I'll get my recordings done soon and sent in. I hope you'll find them worthy of the fine instrument that I bought from you earlier this month.

Ok, I did it. Take 11! If take 11 was not good, it was going tp be take 6. Before #6 and between 6 and 11 not so good. Take 10 was pretty good, but I really messed up at the end. I told Fiddlerman to feel free to mute me. Take 11 was best, just not really good, 😂😂😂🤯. Fiddlerman might need a new pair of earplugs after he listens to mine.🐭
Congratulations Mouse! Glad to see you met your goal of an early completion of the project. Bet that feels good. I’m hoping to be done soon, as well. Enjoy your Thanksgiving week. 😊
Cheers, Unfretted

Dead on with the click track. Now to figure out how to record myself. I need the phone for listening and the PC to record, but I have a big bright light right behind myself.
@Ripton -
You might have more camera placement options using your phone on a tripod for recording, and the laptop for your click-track/ear buds.

I love watching little kids play violin. Last year at Christmas I posted a link of kids playing "Oh Come little Children."
For 2024, this is a different group of young people playing "Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel." I think our group has some tough competition this year! Hope you all enjoy.

Is anyone extending the end of the piece with a fadeout like suggested in the tutorial video? If only a couple of people are doing it, I think it would sound like you are behind the click track. I kind of like a clean finish. Thoughts?
It’s Fiddlerman’s project and he is our conductor, so to speak. He and Gibbles create tutorials explaining just how the piece should be performed. If something is optional, for example shifting, it will presented as optional. Otherwise, follow the arrangement as written and the tutorial as presented. In the very early days after selecting a piece for the group project, Fiddlerman will be open to input on the arrangement. After that, simply follow the directions.
We should all be extending the final note in a fading decrescendo as specified in the tutorial.

You could pick up some Bluetooth ear headphones locally, or Amazon. I LOVE my Oladance (extremely comfortable because it's not inside your ear), but check out others.
Best of luck - you have time.

OK, I uploaded my 2 cello pieces yesterday. Had many technical issues getting the click track to play on my device, but once everything was solved my recordings went pretty smoothly. I hope they are in tune enough, but you can always edit or turn my volume down. Looking forward to the finished product!
