Oh Boy, LOVE "Thriller" & LOVE the doll idea!
I'm very much into the whole Creepy Doll thing!
I have a particular 3-faced porcelain doll head I want to do something with... but I have to restrain, keep stuff away from the grandkids for right now, because a couple of them have been sleepwalking & they were ALL terribly disturbed by a clown I set out last year. 😈

@ELCBK A porcelain doll with 3 faces—creepy!
@Mouse I don't think I have any dolls in the house at all. Just as well
Too funny--good thing it was the "OOOOOH" and not the lady screaming--trooper might have broke your door down.
Nope, my door bell is just an old fashion “ding-dong”sound.

Orson Wells, The War of the Worlds radio broadcast (1938)
If you never heard it, it is a fun Halloween time listen. The link below of the full broadcast—
Also, a History Channel link that explains the radio broadcast that scared a whole lot of people in 1938.

When the trooper came, it was the scream or screech. After he left, because of his reaction to the scream/screech, I changed it to the Ooooh. I haven't used the scream since. The Ooooh is harder to hear if I am in where I do cards, though. It starts quiet and then gets louder, but doesn't get loud enough for me to hear it all the time in the card room. I am thinking of not changing it a couple weeks before Halloween this year. We don't get many visitors ringing it anyway.🐭
Sorry, I misread it--so it was a scream--yikes!

Oh Sharon, HOW DELIGHTFUL!
THANK YOU for the link! ...my kind of crocheter. 🎃 LOVE the 'Medusa' idea, even the Witch's Hat & the use of glow-in-the-dark yarn.
...having a (very brief), dark thought of how it might be nice to only have a couple of grandchildren to make costumes for. 😖 Maybe I can start crocheting now for Halloween 2025.

Knitting works!
Like the idea of 'Zombie Candy' to give out on Halloween, but we didn't even have any kids come to the house last year!
😈... think I could make them even creepier. Wish I was done with house stuff.

It would be looking a lot more like Christmas if Santa dropped off some click tracks.
Creature Feature on YouTube—I know is carried by some TV stations, but they have a YouTube channel that has a ton of horror & science fiction movies like Creature with the Atomic Brain, Trilogy of Terror, and Children of the Corn.

LOVE the old 'B' horror films!
I remember when we used to have 'Creature Features' (WAY before this show, might've been on PBS) - THANKS for the link! Nice these hosts aren't as corny as some I used to see on TV. Interesting they also include Sci-Fi, Satirical Horror & Neo-noir in their selections.
SO HAPPY they have "Fiend Without a Face" (1958)!!! This one really creeped me out when I was a kid (all stop motion Fx films creeped me out as a kid) - 1st because the creatures are invisible at the beginning... this story gets deeper and the stop motion is VERY effective.
I've probably talked about some of this (last year, or year before🥴)... if anyone remembers, please feel free to point out when I'm repeating myself.
In the Detroit Metropolitan area, we've had some VERY corny horror film hosts! Sir Graves Ghastly - hosted 'B' horror films in the Detroit area, from 1967 to 1982 - corny skits. Two more local 'B' horror movie hosts, "The Goul" (wore a shaggy hat & one dark lens in his glasses) from the early 70's & "Count Scary" (not scary) from the early 80's. They interjected sounds/dialog & music bites into films - terribly corny skits.
LOVED when 'Elvira' hosted horror films!
Now, "Evil Dead" (1981) was the 1st of a 'campy' cult film classic series - from our local Michigan boys, Bruce Campbell, Sam & Ivan Raimi! "Army of Darkness"(1992) is one of my favorite fantasy horror comedies. Film buffs will pick up on the clever references to other cult films.
Trailer:
...Danny Elfman did the "March of The Dead" music for Army of Darkness!
Btw, "The Comedy of Terrors" (1964) can be seen free on Amazon Prime. Vincent Price, Boris Karloff & Peter Lorre - all in one film!

YES! 💖 Ray Harryhausen... what more can I say? 🥰
Well, there was a huge exhibit of his work at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh, but probably didn't get as much attention as it should've because it ran during covid.
💖 the link to the Urban Legends!
...1st I've heard of the Nain Rouge.
