It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself. Johann S.Bach

I think it's GREAT idea!
I've only had my Viola out since I got it (my poor Mortimer got put in his case) - since it's big, my Grandkids have fun plucking the strings if I finger the notes and they like for me to hold it so THEY can use the bow.
I want SO BADLY to let one try the ½ size violin (we found 2nd hand) & take it home, but there's SEVEN & they don't each have their own room - or really ANY time just to themselves. It means kinda a free-for-all and it's SO FRAGILE looking!
Hard to keep anything safe from our youngest, right now - he's like Bamm-Bamm Rubble from the Flintstones! 😖

It cant be a wrong decision, if she takes to it she is the right age at which she may actually achieve something in the violin world, at the very least she will develope a love of music and that cant be bad. Just think by the age of twenty she will have been playing 16 years.
I would suggest if she enjoys it get her a teacher..
You cant get a better time, the mind is pliable and receptive, it will become second nature, dont miss this chance.
Cant beat a sunny day
