Receive the following email from Jazz violinist Christian Howes. Sounds like it could be a fun event:

Happy Friday. Thanks for being you.

First of all, a reminder that you're invited to a live stream concert tonight with my quintet at 8 pm eastern. Virtual entry is free, although tips are welcome.

The info page shows $18 but that's for up to 20 live audience members, so don't let it throw you. Simply look for the virtual show on the page here and come on in. We'll start 15 minutes early with a talk.

@Bob -

Did you get to watch the concert last night?

I'm a little sore we had unexpected visitors & I got sidetracked!😕

Anyone else manage to watch it?

@ELCBK I caught the first couple of sets, but I'm afraid his music is a little too esoteric for my taste :)

I've seen some of his classes on youtube that are more to my liking, but I gave up last night.

My "jazz" is more in the line of Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, etc. (sorta ages me, I know).

@Bob -

Sorry to hear that!

I had checked out both, Christian Howes' tutorials on YouTube and his website, months ago (maybe a year) - thought he had some great tutorials, but I wasn't ready for them at the time.

What I did like, is he seemed to go out of his way to invite violists and cellists to learn, as well!
