Hahahaha - transcript of with my chat with Mandy ( @damfino ) on FB - I like it !
Amanda Anderson

Since the farmer's market in the park was closed due to the virus, the people I get eggs from were just selling them from their truck in the parking lot. I went and stocked up on a few dozen, then went back home.
There are the extent of my weekend plans. I will be home, cleaning and playing my fiddle, and probably watching movies.
3 You and 2 others
Bill Gunn LOL - with yah on that! Fiddle-on my friend! It's probably all we have left..... sound of bowed strings, fading, slowly into obscurity....
Amanda Anderson Gives us something to do... hopefully nobody starts hoarding strings, I want to still buy some when mine eventually break, lol.
Bill Gunn - Amanda Anderson omg - I hadn't considered hoarding strings - OK SO - order in to fiddlershop.com right now - 5 sets of Larsens, and 5 sets of steels for Yabé LOLOLOL - should just about see me through the apocalypse !!!!
Amanda Anderson Only 5 sets? Have the TP hoarders taught you nothing? You buy everything they have in stock.
Bill Gunn ROFL - gonna snap this and share on the forum LOL ( if that's OK ? )
ROFL....
---- end of chat ----

@BillyG and others. I am still using up my string largesse from @mryikes . Let me know if you need some.
I hear that the South Africans rub two sheets of newsprint together to make acceptable toilet paper. We may need to give that a try at the home stead before long. Of course, there is also the “k-ration” toilet paper variant of a single sheet with a center hole for index finger insertion.

LOL @Irv - nah, fine for strings ( got a load of them via @Worldfiddler / "Mr. Jm" some time back, still working through them.... )
But, .... lol.. almost TMI on the rest Hahahaha - although I really HAVE to attach an image via Mandy on FB - I responded by suggesting - "Yeah, I get the joke - BUT - sounds like a great marketing opportunity for an actual loo-roll holder" - LOL

By that, if y'all didnae get the Scottish sense of humour, I was inferring that a loo-roll holder like THAT would simply "scare the &^it outta yah"- the loo roll itself would not be necessary....

@BillyG and others. I had to go off site for the abbreviation. I am sorry if I evoked a sensitive area there for you. Only trying to help out in this time of perils.
You guys should be fine in your neck of the woods, with all the peat and all.

Ahhh, aye, the peat is a fine thing, sustained our needs up here in the wilderness for heating and other purposes over many, many years.
It now appears it is illegal to harvest peat due to the effect on climate change because it does not regenerate at the same rate at which it is harvested.
Now, sure, I kind of understand that of course, but does that argument not also apply ( in greater measure, I believe ) to what we do to extract the rare-earth metals to make our forever expanding use of mobile phones, computers and LSI-chip fabrication possible ? ( and usually "lose" these rare metals when these clever-tech products are discarded - very LITTLE is truly recycled at that level... )
Dunno, really...
Just an open thought... (and little to do with the OP ... LOL, still, worth thinking about )

We have to buy up all the strings... we might not be able to wipe our butts, but we will be able to play our fiddles during the apocalypse.
OH... on that note... a couple bands I love are/have shared free online concerts due to their tours being canceled. Links to follow below:
We Banjo 3... I don't know if they will keep this up but it is there right now:

I lack the knowledge to link a video to this forum. But in keeping with the spirit of this thread, please refer to the YouTube video “Paganini 24 hula hoop”.
@Irv - copy the URL from the title bar of the you tube (or whatever thing you want to link to) and then just click on the Insert Link button to then paste the address into the URL box in the dialog that appears. You can ignore "Target / Text to display" bit.
That's how it appears and works on a "normal" ( LOL ) PC/Laptop. The mobile version may well be subtly different, but I don't go there

Well - since it appears that sometime soon we may all be directed to stay off the streets, I was looking for some projects to keep us occupied. So, the spare bedroom needs full re-decoration. Good. So I go online and try to order the paint and wallpaper etc.... All out of stock for WEEKS - obviously, other folks have the same idea LOLOL
However, I HAVE found an interesting little project to mess with - in the form of an Arduino micro-controller. I have no actual project in mind, it's just a fun thing to play with - this is about the smallest member of the Arduino family, coming in at less than $10 - cool - order place, no apparent shortage ... OHH NO ... I've probably started a run on those now !!! ROFL
Here it is !

I already have a small mountain of old Arduino and ARM boards floating around from my time as a radio ham. Electronic music, anyone? On second thoughts, I'd rather lose myself in the fiddles.
