The horse is my favorite, Quins Classic Son (Patrick). We have 7 horses here. I used to ride a lot but after having a heart attack I don't ride as much as I would like to.

gStretch: The horse.. but I like the car too. cool

Kevin: That horse is a beauty. amuse

7 horses?! Having 7 horses would be like heaven to me. But not if I couldn't ride them. I'm sorry you don't get to ride much anymore.

I used to take riding lessons, but they're too expensive to afford right now. :/

Was it fun for you to ride for the first time?

I think riding horses and playing violin are the 2 best things in the world. :)

Lol! I wish we could use any horse hair for our bows and that it didn't have to come from special horses.

You can use any horse hair it's just a matter of how whell it works.  Most horse hair from the tail is very thick and corse.  I know I am going to try to use some of daughter's horses tail or maybe Patricks tail and I'll have a red haired bow.

Yeah I loved riding and I'm waiting for a transplant then maybe I can get back to dressage again

Very interesting. Good luck with getting a transplant. What are your chances of getting one?

I'm very happy to hear this. We'll pray for the best. cow-fingerscrossed

In the meanwhile is it hard to do physical activities of all sorts? What happens when you do? Are walks OK or is that too physical?

Hmm.. if you need a transplant, Kevin, i guess your heart attack was pretty strong. How do you play violin? it is really hard i think...
My heart is ok but i feel dizzy when play 4-5 hrs (i'm lucky that training doesn't happen to often)!
Wish you to get better soon!

I do fine right now. I can get around and do things but I have to pace myself.  I do have a difibulator implanted in me so it starts my heart up again.  Anyway I'm not going to just lay down and die. So that's it on the matter for now.

Thanks for your concern

I've not had a chance to be on the forum in a while so I'm trying to get cought up a bit.

First, Im glad to hear of more home school people. We home schooled my son through graduation and are currently home schooling my daughter. She said she is glad to be home schooled because she don't have to worry about tring to be someone she isn't, just to fit in.

Second, Kevin I'll be praying for you also. Riding a horse is a feeling in it self that has to be experienced to know how it truly feels. I hope you are able to ride again someday.

Wow Kevin, that's some heavy news. Is it a heart transplant you need? My grandmother is alive and kicking and will be turning 109yo this November and she had a defibrillator implanted when she was 72yo. I'll pray for ya man.
