@Leana ,
You have a very good skill at picking out melodies by ear!
One thing my teacher recently told me that might help you is to try using heavier bowing. It sounds in places like you're being kind of tentative, like you're not sure you have the right note. But, you do have the right notes - so go ahead and bow more strongly and confidently!

Thanks for your feedback ! 🙂 Was not expecting the review to be quite as good as this- will work at holding back my ego today !
@Fidelestre- I Have also noticed the hesitation- even when I play the level one songs- have to work on that strong bow thing for sure. In the beginning of the video tho- I just practice hitting the notes- so that part is on purpose, but you are spot on about my hesitation. I have only been playing this one for a week, so----
yes- this is a hard thing to do- for sure !
and @Fiddlerman 🙂 I am Happy ! 🙂 I practice a half hour of beginner stuff, and this is the part I feel is my reward ! We actually have a kareoke machine here- good advice, but Molehill Orkestrah and Dean M won't be on there- LOL..I will add D minor scale to my practice. 🙂 About posture- LOL- at least I don't try to play while sitting on my couch anymore, but sometimes when I am at the computer, I put my feet up on the desk and kick back while playing. Can't get anymore relaxed than that ! (No pains yet- just allergy to the metal)
THANKS, GUYS !! 🙂
I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

So nice to hear you play again and post.I am unfamiliar with the tune. I enjoy how you are learning and playing along. Keep it up and post a lot...
You got this!!!
Congrats on the post and the badge.
Toni
Thanks very much, CPO ! 🙂 I'll keep keepin' on. Now I might wait for posting until I'm better at a tune (but maybe not). I already have this badge, so…… I won't be in as big a hurry.

Good job! Playing along with a recording, or someone else, is tricky! I always get thrown when my teacher plays along with me, gives me an extra thing to try and focus on, lol.
keep up the good work 🙂

Great job Leana! What an accomplishment, playing a long with a record by ear like that!!
I think I'm starting to come down with the sticker fever...
It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself. Johann S.Bach

wow- 5 weeks later………….. (I play it almost every day, but I don't know if I should actually be saying that !) 🙂

Don't care about this sticker anymore, but figured this would be a good place to post-
somebody please tell me how to embed a video here- It's been so long !!!
keep the following in mind, but I am looking forward to feedback-
#1 Excuse my attire- you may never see me in a dress, but it’s HOT HERE !!
#2 I hear that @Fiddlerman sells awesome E strings (mine is not one of those)
#3 I should probably record myself on a seperate track- but I am too scared.
#4 It is my goal to post one video a month- this is month #4 (plus one week)
#5 I started playing this about 5 weeks ago. 🙂

This is cool because you're improvising i.e. playing without sheet music. I wonder if you can create more songs and melodies without sheet music, and without music in the background? I would like to see you put together a video of all improvisation similar to how you played the peice before, however, no background music, just play from your heart!

all good points- I try-- but I'm not creating anything personal yet- I would love to do that as well, but so far, I just try to imitate- who knows-- It could happen 🙂
playing like this does kind of scare me because - for one, I never am able to get it right- I acknowledge that- but for sure I am hearing, and learning….. I am a newbie (ish) and have my first practice with a musician tomorrow- I am so excited !!!!
so far the pieces I'm playing NEED some kind of background, so… :/
but- wow-- thanks 🙂
