"Fiddle4Fun" with cute little kittens• Please begin by telling us anything you would like to about yourself. Age, place of birth, residence, etc.  I’m mid-twenties and from central Texas.  I move around enough that where I am at any time can only be determined by using models  developed for calculating the probability of an electron’s location around an atom.  It’s a good thing I have a solid little truck to travel in!  Most of the year, though, I’m away at school where I’m working on a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.

• What made you decide to play the violin?  Well, I was looking for a hobby that was relaxing, solitary, and portable.  I thought that, since I have always loved music, learning a musical instrument would be good.  The baby grand piano was too big to fit in my suitcase so I naturally turned to the other instrument we had in the house: my great-great-grandfather’s fiddle.
Also, the fiddle was talking to me.  She was, she was.  Every time I walked by I would hear a plainative “Play me” coming from the case.  No doubt she was just as terrified as I was that if she sat unplayed long enough my grandmother would sell or donate her.

Great interview! I also like to switch between violins while practicing. Certain things just sound or feel better on a particular instrument.

Nice to meet you, F4F! I enjoyed your interview. Loved hearing about your two fiddles, especially your grandmother's fiddle. It's nice that you answered her plea to be played.

Beautiful horses. I like the white one. My daughter's horse started out jet black then went to grey then white and now dappled.  Took me awhile to get GSD and I had a few of them in my time.

Now I have a name for my falling asleep in my chair.

I learned one thing I love about you...another Texan!!!  Just goes to show ya, Texas rules!!!

But besides that, I love the animals.  Between my wife and I, we have 5 dogs, 2 cats, 20 chickens, 5 children and my wife works with wildlife.  She is going to school for wildlife Biology.  So, yea, animals are a big thing for us too.  (Although, of the 5 dogs I only claim one.  My Rottie, Tater!)

Loved the interview and it is wonderful to meet you.  Keep the Fiddlin' Fun!!

Nice Interview F4F, wow what beautiful horses! The pie one is just gorgeous. I trained my cats to beg for treats, they learned it in like 2 days only so they are intelligent, but what else can you train them for?
