I just noticed I don't see the 'custom' speed setting on the android YT app (to choose much smaller increments) - like what I can get on my laptop.

One of my old teachers used to often say, play at a tempo that you won't make any mistakes. This was to apply to some of the very rapid pieces that we would work on for auditions, etc..... So when it came to site reading, I would try to play it at the fastest tempo that I could without making any errors.

I have been practicing with a great violinist of you tube, think I have the timing now, I do hit a couple of bad notes, mainly right at the end, (and this is still only at three quarter speed) but thats due to concentration on the timing I think, but overall I am now fairly pleased with this, and am about to start the second part, and its only taken 125 years to get this far, I am thinking in 80 years time I may attempt caprice 24.

Thanks Mark for the comment and taking the time to have a look:)

Emily, its a lot better but still lots to do to it, thats half the pleasure though. I think its good to have a tune that is too hard in order to improve all the skills like shifting and such, good way of learning while enjoying the playing. Really appreciate your comments and the encouragement:)

And the mad emojis as well :)

Last one I post before doing the second bit, couple of bad sounds in this with the double stop bits in the middle, but nothing I cant sort out fairly quickly now.

Very nice. It is so much easier to follow progress like this when I know the piece. Great job.

Thanks abitrusty and mouse.

Abutrusty, like I said on znother thread I may give the classical a rest now for a while at least as I enjoy fiddle tunes far more, classical is good exercise though.
