Bill loses the plot while practicing v1.... hahah... oh - this is mixed against a midi backing track just for checking intonation.... LMAO... get a grip, Bill...
Just noticed the studio mic is picking up fan vibration - need a shock mount / bit of foam rubber....
Won't be submitting this shot, then...
EDIT : Ah and yes, this is the first outing of my new FM Concert....

LOL @Fiddlerman - it is way cool ! After a few months of using EV I which I tend to "drive real hard" (with no amp or FX) while bowing to get some level of sound out of it with no, or at best, little, resonant-ringing - I have to learn to be a bit more "subtle" with my bowing on the acoustic.... which is exactly what I would expect, of course.
The Concert is lively, resonant, and has a real presence. (You can quote me on that Pierre!)
I'm still getting used to the dominant resonances of the instrument which I think I mentioned in a PM - and which are perfectly normal, I'm just not "used to it" because of my exposure to the EV which without any FX is pretty "plain" with a fairly flat frequency response across all strings and notes... ( although - the EV is very very good to my mind in its own way for intonation of course - there is much less "confusion to my ear" with the very obvious overtones and harmonics which are normally audible on the acoustic but very much less so on the solid body EV... )
I like the Concert a lot - but clearly still getting used to it (even with the broken right-hand pinkie which is still real painful ! Ouch.. I've had to adapt the right-hand grip for the time being.... if I hold it extended or, better still - curl it under (to the back of the frog) - then I can lift/ease pressure on the stick to some extent...... so it's OK ! I can just about get away with it !)
All in all, a very nice instrument ! TY Pierre !
Sorry about the earlier post - I was in stitches here - I'm not by any means a proficient player yet - but I'm not normally that bad ! ROFL! Thought you'd all get a laugh at my expense !
Cheers all...

Okay.. I am still in!!!! I have the song committed to memory.. I am practicing long long sets. I hope to get it in the range of the correct tempo soon. My violin friend was going to help me last week.. but well this brought back bad memories of a work that she is not fond of...so I don't think I will have a lot of help there (her reaction was .. "yuck.. it makes no sense.. like gases on Mars or something like that, and like notes are just put in for NO reason..") ... but I am a big girl.. I got sheet, and click track.. blood, sweat and tears..
Funny how I hear this song and I just feel it in my chest and I love it. To each their own for sure right?
Come on peeps.. you know you want to join in.
Cheers.

Vibrato Desperato.... Desperately seeking vibrato

@Fiddlerman - oh - it crossed my mind - on the credits when it's all done and dusted - would it be an idea to split the performers up by country ( I guess if it's known, from their profile )? Just a thought - on the finished article, it would highlight the truly "international" aspect of your projects.....
