I don't need to enter the contest, I already have a CVN500, so it is just to push myself, but 120 bpm is new to me.b-slap

Keep in mind, IT ISN'T a contest. It's a group project. There's no competition except that which you impose on your own playing.

It's a group effort to play a piece of music all together. Taking the whole soundtrack and combining it with excerpts of each person playing who submitted a video, and all you submit a recording are recorded on their own "track".

Don't feel like you can't contribute, a 100 violins playing at the same time? No-one will be able to pick out YOUR violin making a slight boo-boo on a note or two.

Think of it as you playing in the Fiddlerman orchestra. dancing

Before I make a click track we must agree on a tempo. Start giving me suggestions OK????

You can't make it into a waltz for heavens sake!

I think Naska's video is perfect, maybe a touch quicker. (Gets to the end and through all the mistakes quicker you know.)

I think it needs to be just a tad bit slower for us beginners.  Slower than the recording of all the parts together I mean.  OK?

cool

I've learned so much from my mistakes that I've decided to make some more.

That was the tempo-struggle. I don't know why, but i always have difficulties with slowing down the tempo. So i ignored the intonation and bowing, trying to concentrate only on the rhythm (it's 90 if i counted right - if not- correct me). So i think this video is totally useless for any practice.. But at least i laughed while was watching it =)

roflolYeah when i watch my videos i always wish it to end quicker! roflroflrofl

I won't vote for the tempo. As usual i'm OK with any choice (except 50duncecap)

Right now I think 100 or 110. 120 is a little too fast for me. If its any slower than 60 the more I end up messing up. I'm use to playing a little fast when I was in my high school orchestra.

out of interest, at what tempo was the original played?

as I am doing V4 or V5, if its too slow, my pinkie cramps up after playing D on the G for 345,564,956 bars (and f I alternate to an open D I wont be able to do my chin vibrato)

**had to laugh at cdb's comment about the Waltz. I can just see Captain Jack Sparrow mincing round a dancefloor to a waltz version, Not!!**
