Just stopping by to say hello, so um ... hello! 
I've been learning the violin since 2015 (although I'm sure it sounds like I've only just picked it up hehe!) - really glad I've found this site though, looks like a goldmine of information and help!

Welcome @VirginViolinist - good to see another UK-side member.
Although it is somewhat premature, I would draw your attention to "The Traveling Fiddle" which is currently doing the rounds of 4 UK members - check out the thread https://fiddlerman.com/forum/t.....ty-violin/ - it would take some reading - there are close to 1300 posts - but - read the first few to see what it is all about, then jump on to page 56 to read about her UK adventures - https://fiddlerman.com/forum/t.....n/page-56/
Obviously she has a planned "schedule" and list of hosts to receive her - but there is no harm in getting your name on the list - eventually she'll revisit our shores - it took about 4 years to get here - so maybe she'll be back in the UK in another 3 or 4 years.
