Hello everyone! It was brought to my attention that I've been gone so long I'm new to a lot of you, so I better reintroduce myself. I'm Andie, I started learning violin in 2013, and now that my kids are all in school I want to get back to devoting time to this fantastic instrument. While the violin playing got neglected over the years, I have grown as a person and learned a LOT about myself, so I'm excited to be coming back stronger than ever! I look forward to meeting new people, and hope to see some old friends as well. I enjoy all varieties of music- classical, celtic, pop, rock, even hip hop- I want to learn it all! Besides music (I also play piano and sing), I enjoy writing stories, drawing, making costumes, and acting. I'm going to find a way to bring all of it together for some really fun performances!

@Mouse - Singing? I get to sing? I just teared up. I'm so excited for this! Thank you!
@ELCBK - I hope you don't mind, I glanced at your profile. I sense a kindred energetic spirit, I think we're going to be great friends. 😁
Thank you both for the warm welcomes~

(I apologize for the tags not working, I don't know if it's because I'm using my phone or I'm just not doing it properly, I'll have to look up how to do that)
@ELCBK - Neither, it's a ringtail (not the lemur kind). 😁 I used to have friends who did wildlife rehabilitation so I got to interact with some really fun animals. 😊
@Mark - Thank you!

@AndieKae -
How Cool - I'm glad I asked! 🤗
🤔 Never had a conversation where Ringtails were brought up before! I resided in Texas and Kansas for awhile, known of Family that had a Raccoon - even had friends with Prairie Dogs!
One of the Veterinarians I worked for here in Michigan, way back when I was teenager, specialized in Exotic Animals. 😏
...now I have a Zoo of 7 Grandchildren. 🎃

Ahhh - a great welcome back @AndieKae !!! Good to have you back with us !
And @fiddlerman - Pierre - would be cool to re-post the same info (regarding the project bpm that is) in the project thread (you know, just in case......... LOL) ^5s FM

@ELCBK - I love exotic animals! 😁 I've had a sugar glider and hedgehogs. I also got to play with a baby raccoon and she was adorable. Every animal is such hard work though, so I think I'm done. 😅
@SharonC - Thank you! I'm so excited about the Christmas project. What a great project to come back to.
@Fiddlerman - Thank you! The click track sounds sooo good! This is going to be a lot of fun. I'm gonna do my best for this~
@BillyG - My favorite Scottish friend! I'm so happy to see you're still here. Are you still playing on StreetJelly? I need to start getting more active over there, too. 😁
Well, pulled out the violin for the first time in over two years. 😬 Yeah, that was rough. I feel like I'm worse than ever. 😆 I have really got my work cut out for me. Keep sending that encouragement, I'm gonna need it!

Occasionally, very occasionally ( a year since last time! ).
Basic issue is getting a number of players to take-part in a set of say 30 min consecutively scheduled shows. Which makes it close to being impossible for me, "wrong" side of the pond.... hmmm, yeah, not easy....
I may try to resurrect the "Strings on Sunday" thing once the current pressure of unanticipated work has lessened ! Keep in touch via PM if you fancy going live on SJ, I'll join in !!!
