Fiddleman!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting this. I have always wanted to learn how to play the violin (and who wouldn't, it IS amazing) since I was little, and your videos have really inspired me to! The $99 dollar violin is a great solution to an expensive problem for beginners I look forward to many days spent watching and learning from you!

I found this raffle and website in general to be a pretty neat find I've been wanting to play the violin since I was little. I play piano and drums to give a little bit of my musical backround. I recently piced up the clairnet and I think the violin would be an excellent eddition to my...repertoire, for lack of a better term.

First of all, thanks for the video. I am a guitar player and was curious about trying the violin and unsure if any in this price range were usable.
I ordered a similar violin from KKmusic store. I specifically purchased model CVN-300+92D, which appears to only differ in the finish. Upon inspecting the instrument, I noticed the fingerboard is rotated such that it is about 2mm or so higher (as measured from the body) on the treble side. Is this normal? I have read that if the fingerboard is rotated, the rotation should be the opposite, ie higher on the bass side and lower on the treble side. Is your $99 violin cut like this as well? I'm just curious if this is by design or a flaw.
I also noticed my tuner does not pickup my violin notes. It also only detects my acoustic guitar well if I use the 1/4" input and connect it to a piezo pickup. I'm guessing the built in microphone may be to blame, but sometimes it will actually register the notes.
One of the bows had a couple broken hairs and neither allows the hair to touch the bow when loosened.
Still, for $130 shipped, I couldn't really expect any more. I'm just curious if the rotation on my fingerboard is a flaw or by design.
Thanks again for sharing.
