I just got these two books: -

Jessica O'Leary 80 Graded Studies for Violin Book 1 (Grades 1-5) 
Jessica O'Leary 80 Graded Studies for Violin Book 2 (Grades 6-8)

They are excellent - but be warned: they pull no punches - and the first few exercises make surprisingly good warm-up material for a practice session.

Jessica has written a few of these studies, but the rest are very well chosen from Shradiek and Wohlfahrt and others.
