OK...I just typed a big long question about the fingering chart and think I answered my own question. "Capitol letters" GM, DM, AM, etc is not the same as Gm, Dm, Am, etc. in that capitol M designates "Major. Duh...never mind. I have no problem laughing at myself.
Took me a week to realize there wasn't a typo on the charts. I even started counting where the half steps are at in comparison to miinor scales.

I give you lots of credit CC. I have not taken the time to even start to look at all those options. I am still getting hung up sometimes just with fact that there was a sharp noted on the music and I didn't even noticed it till my wife says " That note sounds flat, are you sure that's not a sharp " I go look and see it was supposed to be.
I started " over the rainbow, as I figured it was in the Beginners sheet music section and my wife and kids like that song. I have really been struggling with a the sharps and the 7th measure. I think to myself " If this is a beginners piece, I am in big trouble learning to read music "
It is great though when you have that epifany and figure something like that out on your own.
Keep it up and you will be jammin in no time.
