OK, I've done it at last
I'm microphone shy to the extreme and have been putting off uploading anything.
I've been learning for almost 8 months now. I've had no musical experience before deciding to take on the violin. I decided to to learn after surviving major cancer surgery at the age of 61. I've always wanted to learn an instrument since my teens but never had the motivation, too many other things to do. I chose the violin because I wanted a challenge. Perhaps if I had known how big a challenge it was going to be, I may have chosen the triangle
So here is my rendition of 'Redeemed' with off intonation and questionable bowing and all. Constructive criticism is welcome and I'm sure that I'll get it
So enjoy......... Or not
BTW My violin, unlike my playing, does sound better in real life. It sounds like an 'eBay special' in the recording
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of ..... What was I saying????

You sounded good. Keep practicing and keep everything going.
We are in the same boat. I did also survive a major cancer and still in recovery, and violin learning is a way for me to retrain my body after those nasty chemo drugs.
Let's keep hoping and looking forward to better things in life as long as we're survival.
Best wishes to you.
