DAY 2
I had to memorize this song because there wasn't enough room on my windowsill for the camera and sheet music at the same time. Lots of sour notes there, but I'll work on making my fingers land in the right spots.

Great job indeed.
I would love to see you use more elbow on your right arm and get the 4th finger up a little higher on the left hand. That being said, it's great that you are using the 4th finger instead of avoiding it. Careful not to get a lazy wrist with your right hand. Keep it as straight as possible.
Lot's of great things. You produce a real nice tone and your fiddle has a great sound on the lower strings. Look forward to hearing the higher ones sometime as well.
Really nice with the introduction, the thank you, and the smile at the end.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll work on the wrist, 4th finger and elbow (and ear!). When I played in high school the teacher didn't teach violin. He just put sheet music in front of us and we did our best. I never learned vibrato, but it's on my list of things I want to learn. I absolutely love the doublestop arrangement of Amazing Grace on this website. I don't know how long it will take me to get there but it's one of my goals to play it with vibrato. Next time I make a video I'll try not to look so grim!

One thing about bowing- try not to lift the bow without a necessary like at 0:24 and 0:34. I'm telling about that because i always do that
and always get a thrashing from my teacher for that =) it's better to learn from mistakes of other people- isn't it ? XD

Here is my Day 38 entry.

Apparently my use of me playing Twinkle Twinkle with Fiddlerman's video and posting it to youtube is a violation of Copyright laws. I disputed the claim, but I might lose.
