1 year achievement goal: hmm, I just dont know whats possible. I would love to be able to try out for the local orchestra, or at least play at the local playhouse in their orchestra. Heck, Id be happy with keeping up with my church orchestra. so, playing in a orchestra.
What do I want to play?: classical and fiddle styles
Who do I want to play with? other people.
By when will I achieve these goals? umm These seem kinda redundant in a 1 year goal section. ASAP.
Teacher?: Me, myself and I. Im pretty good at lernin stuff.
Etudes? sure, whatever yall recommend.
Practice hours? I practice every day and even have recognized my need for more focused skill based practice and improvement. at least 30 min.
Which areas of technique am I having trouble with? lets put it this way, I just figured out there was technique!
Ideas and new course of action: I thought this was a pretty good idea and new course for me. Until I actually start playin some of this stuff and yall start recommending improvements, I dont know squat.
Music I should listen too? I listen to classical and country etc, I have accompaniament cds to the manuals and books I have now.
My reward? Fiddle/ violin upgrade to make it sound even all better!

I'm happy to help.To play in an orchestra you should learn to read music. Start out by having a good look at my two games for learning to read music. Obviously choose the level that suits you.. If you've never read music it will probably be beginners level.
One of the games focuses on memorizing which finger to use on which visible note on the clef and the other focuses on rhythms.
Either post a video of you playing something (Maybe you have already) here and we'll see what we can "assign" you for your technical needs.
Check out everything on those games including the "help with rhythms" on the Rhythm game and the "scales" buttons on the fingering game.
Let's get this party going!!!!!!!
You are very kind and gracious, sometimes my sense of humor leaves people thinking its arrogance or cockyness or anotherness? I appreciate your help very much. I am able to read music, have since 3rd grade piano lessons and trombone marching band in jr/sr high. I am gonna play your games, be good reinforcement for me. My self examined weakness is music with flats in the key signature and finger dexterity and bow control. (well thats pretty much the whole barn of wax at the shootin match isnt it) Posting a vid of myself playing is coming, I did do bonapartes retreat recently though. appreciate it.

I got a violin practice Journal, which is basically a weekly day planner dedicated to practicing the violin. Starting with the technical difficulties you have with the violin that you wish to improve including ear training etc. finishing with the piece you are currently working on. Its amazing how much more and the better quality of your practice when you have a plan and focus. I think thats the "god particle" in all of this, have a plan and focus on it. And of course, FM to help point you in the right direction!
