Well, I'm on Day 8 and have comfortably memorized Scarborough Fair, so I decided to put up a quick video of it. The sound quality is poor, the playing is pretty poor, and there's something weird going on with my hair, but I felt like it'd be a good milestone for me to look back on.
Fiddlerman rocks. If I was taking traditional lessons, I'd have spent all week repeating "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" like a 4-year-old. This is much preferred. Any recommendations as to what songs I should learn next?
(for some reason, it didn't feel like embedding)
Also, I know my technique isn't amazing or anything, but I am always open to comments and criticism.

That was nice, Halzen! =) totally agreed about your tighten bow!
I like your straight bowing and left hand. And it would be great if you could put your right pinky on the stick - that will help you to control the bow, when you'll play near to the frog =)
Amazing start!! Don't forget about intonation.
I didn't hope to see your smile - that was a good part too =)

Cool ... thanks for posting the video Halzen. I won't repeat the bow comments, but I think you're well on your way to 'getting' it.
Keep posting, because someone will always give you feedback, that's what we all want, and it's always friendly.
If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.
