After a hectic Christmas, the passing of a cherished family member and the start of a new job I haven't been on here much. Let alone practicing... Oops... But anyway I was wondering if there was a method of teaching here for step by step to the violin, like the Yamaha method or music essentials volume 1 ect. I currently don't have the money to go buy the $20 book for step by step. And wanted to see if there was a free study/practice guide. When I learned how to play the trumpet it helped me learn to read music, finger positions and timing. If anyone knows of this or where I can find one please let me know :D

Welcome back and my condolences on your loss. I am not sure of a step by step book. But when I started I started with FM scale tutorials.... Good luck and welcome back.

Welcome back.  When you are brand new, you only get one word... "Welcome" but when you come back, you get two "Welcome back".  Thus being back is twice as good as being new!!

I found this book, which is the same one I'm going through now... Check the pricing, I think it's $0.75 (seventy five cents), but then I think there is a $5 shipping on it...

Closest thing to step by step here is this link. I've been thinking about writing some method books but lack of time seems to be an issue.
