The Halloween project indicated a "spicy" bowing.
Specifically, @38 second - the first 2 bow strokes, @1:00 - 3 quick strokes.
My attempts to land the bow and execute saucy, quick, emphatic notes with a little "verve" resulted in a bouncy bow. Played with the bow on the strings wasn't very exciting stuff.
Two questions:
1) does this have a technique name? (so I can search on it)
2) how to practice this: is the stroke landed with momentum (like landing a plane momentum is part of the landing) or instead, is the technique more subtle... such as set the bow gently then push/pull?
Thanks in advance! Tired of my soupy sound...

Just made up a new word describing the sound I was generating:
Minestrato.
Italian for chunky vegetable soup
