A while back I asked for help with Thomases bowing because he was bowing crooked and I did everything in my power to prevent that because of the God awful 'scratching' when he did this. Many of you offered great advice, but without success. Then when he started his private tutoring with someone else last week, the lady(ass. concert master Lynn)took one look and figured it out. And again, it was right under my nose(should have listened to my father yet again). When he bowed, he wasn't using any flexibility in his wrist, I mean none. So we got home, practiced and now every time he performs an upbow, he lets his wrist go up as well instead of staying rigid. Problem solved......right under my nose.
