Anyone have some good warm ups to get your fingers and bowing ready for some intense practice?

I do the same as Fran. I start with a scale in whatever key I happen to be working on, then move to my etude, and then move into either my shifting practice (more warm up) or my tunes.

To warm up for bowing, I play open strings a few times, doing both string crossings and double stops. For the left hand, I play an octave scale on each string to warm up for shifting. It really helps me train for shifting up to fifth position.

Scales are great for that. As far as bowing, you can mix it up with tempos, rhythms, slurs, and speed. You can play in every part of the bow, play 4 bows to every note, triplet to every note.....etc......
