I live in Tumacacori, AZ in a very rural area, no violin teachers around! I would have to drive an hour just to find one and that is not an option for me! I am 22 years old and a full time volunteer in a religious eco-community. I am hoping to have a chance to win the $99 dollar violin. 🙂
Any suggestions on good websites , besides yours!, where I may find free online videos? Thanks for the wonderful website!

Youtube has some pretty nice tutorials, but the nice thing about here is that fiddlerman is super awesome and will answer your questions directly. He also has skype lessons, so if distance is a problem for you, that might be a good solution.

I just started playing and can't find a teacher anywhere around where i live. I just bought a violin, it's actually the same violin that you showed in you're video. Except mines mahogany and it was $89 because it only came with one bow. It would be cool to have more than one fiddle though so i hope i win the violin.

I've been playing the violin for 3 months now and I'm hoping to get that black violin. 🙂 $99 is already a big amount in the Philippines that is why I got one for like 3,600 pesos and its like 50-70 dollars I guess. I love it because it's my first violin but I am unsatisfied of the sound quality 🙁 I hope you get a good teacher because for me I'm so unlucky I got a crappy teacher who gets in and out of the room during classes :/

Sadly I am traveling this weekend and won't be able to make the live show. It would be really cool to have them periodically though! If you use vokel, you can also field live text and video questions.

hi i liked your facebook hopeing to win the raffle, i currently have had a rough couple weeks...wrecked my car, have zero money or coverage to fix it , and well for some reason it came across to me that i need something to loose myself in, a better hobby, something that can calm me yet challenge me, i have a acoustic guitar but it didnt really do it for me ,played for a little then it was more of an on and off hobby . There is just something about the violin that thrills me , gives me chills and goose bumps when i hear it, it sends me somewhere else emotionally , im not sure if me going on ,on about this will make my chances greater to win this i just thought you should know :p thankyou

I agree, I plan on making regular shows. Good way to encourage each other, talk about the violin, play and learn. Would also love to give online master classes. Anyone interested in participating in the first one?
