Here's a little History of "The Hornpipe". 🤔 - thought "Sailor's Hornpipe" was written earlier than 1770!
I suppose I'd better consider recording the Viola version of "Sailor's Hornpipe" that I previously mentioned (Post No.3), since I stuck my foot in my mouth by saying it was "easy". I won't make that mistake again. (lol)
Really have my eye on one unusual Hornpipe - "unusual" because I've heard/seen it played in a minor key (haunting), when it's usually played happier in a major key. It's got me hooked!
Also, just discovered I'm infatuated with another Hornpipe - "The Peacock's Feather". Actually, it's No.1, because there is a "Peacock's Feathers Set". Learned No.1 right off, it's played in minor (could be dorian, I haven't check'd) - No.2 is in major, might learn it too.
Anyone else currently working on a Hornpipe for this Party... or another one for it?
I supplied a list of Hornpipe suggestions, earlier - if you need help finding one to play. 😊

Sorry to put you all thru this - here's the last of my attempts to record a video outside, today.
The cats all blew away, so Kevin had been holding a rag over the mic on my phone... didn't help. Even had to keep tightening the bow hair!
JUST ENJOY BEAUTIFUL LAKE ST. CLAIR!
Glad I got outside, even if only for the 2nd time in over 2 years, but think these videos should be my 1st AUDIO DUBBING project !
Anyway, I did have fun for a few moments. 😊
