Connaught , LA, USA any area of the world but must have the place name in the tune title such as connaught, or paris, or New York, you get the idea.

Hoping there will be loads of tunes in this one, post as many as you want, there are literally thousands of Place names in tune titles.

Even better if you could do a tune with your area or city name in it

I might be able to get one for you, @stringy. I do know one, but I want to see if I can find one a little different, first.

OMGosh, @stringy That is what I was doing! I just emailed a classmate asking her if she knows where I can find the sheet music to my school alma mater. It was not sung fast, puts in my speed range, and I cannot do it by ear. I have forgotten some and don't have a copy of it being played. It is not on the internet. Too funny! I thought I was being so original in my thought for what song to do.

If the classmate I emailed doesn't know, I have one more email address, if it is still good. They were both in band. Ooh, maybe they remember it enough to write it down for me. 🤞

It is your party, anything you want. But, if there is nothing for your city region, the closest you can get.

@stringy -

I enjoyed listening!

Fun Party idea!

🤔... I have nothing prepared, but may be fun/good reason for me to 'plug in' for this one!

Hope you do manage to get something together Emily, remember it can be anything to do with either a place with a its name in the song title, OR the area or town/city you are from.

Thanks for giving the connaught one a listen, not really happy with it because it doesnt bounce, and the gaps and accents are wrong,  (more accent and  a 64th longer on the first of each group of eigth notes, ) but at least I now can tell when it doesnt roll lol, like the the rosin one did. I do have another one that does bounce though, which I am working on.

Here goes. I could not find the sheet music for my high school these song. I played around this morning, and this is very close.

Remember, I was just doing this by hearing it in my whacky head.

Since this is a party for your area, I decided to do my Wat song on my Parker violin, also, since it was made in my hometown, by a particular hometown guy.

Here it is on my Parker, It is a little better, because I have been playing it more, since the first recording in the post above.

Sounds bob on mouse, I am not familkar with the tune, but your sound is great, especially since in the first its essentially by ear.

Could you change the name of this thread? To,  tunes with place names, think it would be more appropriate.

Thanks for joining in , and for doing it so quick.

Did you notice the name change I did earlier? Do you still want it changed to just places, or keep it related to your area?

Thanks, @stringy. I messed up a bit, and am going to try again, You won't find it anywhere, it is just our high school song.

The title looks great now as it is.

I always get notes wrong, or something else lol, Its good that you are not happy with what you have done, it means you will get even better, though I think you did a great job anyway. I think the worst players are those who think they are good, I enjoy doing tunes over and over again once I have learned them, its like polishing tarnished silver.

I am just recently starting to learn how to play I think, everything up to now has been the basics and its took over 5 years, fiddle is hard, no doubt about that, playing in tune is like trying to move the hill of Tara 100 yards using a spoon.

I thought it gives people a very wide tune base to pick something from, which makes it more available. How about New york, New york, there are thousands of them;)
