That was awesome!

Bach Minuet in G major - BWV Anhang 116

@ELCBK I just checked--that's the wrong Minuet - the one Sasha played has a different BWV number--

@SharonC -

You've given us soooo much GREAT information about Bach!

giphy.gif

I listened to Sasha's again, and yes - I was WAY off.

My last guess, now that my ears have rested, is...

Suzuki Violin 1 - Bach Minuet 1

Guess it's time for me to figure out what Bach I want to play!

I've learned a lot at this Party,

but still stumped on GregW's. (lol)

Really nice!

I just decided what I want to learn,

but this one had really interested me, too.

Bach Arioso from Cantata 156?

Amazing how fast you are picking these up!

You are definitely a Partier!🥳

@ABitRusty -

It wouldn't have mattered who played "Sheep May Safely Graze".  I would have never thought of this as by Bach.

You got me good!

This is a fun Party!

no problem @elcbk !  i just searched for "easy bach violin" and scrolled through page 1 that was all minuete in G since SOMEONE blink dunnopointed out it wasnt bach, and the sheep grazing song came up...so i printed that..  i liked it when found an audio of it and recognized it from somewhere.  probably a cd i had back when of bachs greatest hits.  lol..long ago.  one of those time life things i imagine.  all joking aside this was a good party challenge.  glad it was started!

I forgot about that conversation with AndrewH.

Not so sure history will prevail here, though - pretty ingrained as being Bach. (lol)

Nice submissions everyone !

Not sure I'll participate in this topic, I know next to nothing of Bach (not a big fan). There're a few I would like to learn, but not going to manage until 5 years or so… unless I slow it down to 50%, now that's an idea…

I read a book about Bachs life, did you know he actually put coded messages in his music, with notes equating to letters, he was fond of writing his own  name and the names of his family into his compositions, as well as praising god, absolutely true, book was a bit of a hard read though.

Laughing So Hard Smiley

@wtw -

I'm pretty slow - so, go for it!

@stringy -

Thanx!

Those are fun facts about Bach - I didn't know.

@Ilona Such a nice piece - you've done well with it  - great job!

@ELCBK I'm behind in a couple of parties as well.  I'll work on them as I can.

Yep, that’s right answer!

Hmm, I was thinking I could make another video to this party, this is such a great theme!

I had a little time for Bach yesterday, so here’s another video. Do I need to tell that I love Bach?! 😄
We are just diving into baroque music in my lessons, my teacher wants me to learn some Marcello’s sonatas.

Who knows this one?

@Ilona -

Well, you beat me to this one - I'm just taking too long to record videos. (lol)

So, I know what it is, but NOT going to say!

... because I'm still going to play this. 😁

  Ilona, you played this beautifully!

Every time you touch your cello, wonderful music emerges.

You make every Party exciting!

...too bad I didn't learn as much of this piece as you did, we could've play a duet! (lol)
