Oh, I just love this Bach party! Great work everyone, so many nice videos here! 👍🏻
Now I want to play more Bach!
One very obvious option has already been posted here, but perhaps there is still room for another interpretation... 😊

Bach party here I come again… nothing to guess here though.
AndrewH made me want to try this one, and I wanted to try that one too (the accompaniment was labeled "slow practice version" but it's fast enough for me, thank you).
I have good hopes of getting better at them in a few months :--).

@wtw, for some reason I can’t see your videos. Google tells me I don’t have permission on them… Maybe I should try with another browser or something. I can do that later.
Ok, I have had a little break from playing Bach. I had a feeling I couldn’t find any emotional connection with the Bach suites. I understand they are the foundation of every cellist’s repertoire, but I can’t play them if I don’t feel anything while playing. You know, you can play the piece through without thinking so much, or you can really PLAY it. There is a clear difference.
Couple of weeks ago my teacher suggested we would play the whole first cello suite. He was also able to explain how to play it in a way that made a lot of sense to me. So here is me trying to do like he said and really play Bach.

@Ilona That's because I take the videos down after some time (a few weeks), or rather I at least disable the sharing. Enabled it again, though, so it should work now.
I'm trying to fix my "left thumb" problem and get it to come forward a bit. I'm not sure I'll manage, it does seem to have a will of its own :--).
Kinda wondering how a teacher manages to convey 'a feeling' for Bach music (or any specific piece). Does yours demonstrate a lot ? or use metaphors ? I agree, just "playing through" a piece or tune robot-like is not fun. Myself, I think I'd go about it by listening to several interpretations and picking what I like best… (and then being unable to actually render it on my viola, but that's a different matter)
Anyway you did a great job on this suite. I like your dynamics! It doesn't look easy, with the double stops, trills and shifting !
