Great pick, @JohnG & great job playing! You’re diligent practice is paying off.
Nice playing & versions, @ABitRusty & @stringy It’s wonderful how you can just pick it up & play by ear. I don't think of it as being “correct” or not – you make it your own.
I’ll join the party in a day or two—seem to be a little behind now

. . . how long did it take to get that together. .
After JohnG started the party last week, I went online looking for a version to play. Version was arranged by Jeremy Corcoran (got it at jwpepper.com). I transcribed it into Musescore (I use it a lot to practice duets), & took it to my violin lesson & played it once through with my teacher (I played 1st violin).
I recorded both parts yesterday on my Ipad using a Bluetooth earpiece to listening to musescore version to match rhythm. I then put them together with software I use called Movavi Video Editor.

. . . sounds stately..like entering the royal chamber.
When I recorded the 1st part, I planned on redoing it to increase the speed a little. After trying to do it about 6-7 times at a faster speed (& not liking the results), I decided to just go with my original recording & speed. Guess how that’s how it ended up “stately”
