Lets keep this centered around anything landscape or outdoors.  Its warmed up here this week..spring is here.  Fitting for the tune name Im posting, which Ive been practicing the heck out of this week.  Excuse my loss of intonation as it goes.   I had to play on ol scratch to show @elcbk its not locked in a cage somewhere..roflol

The New Mown Meadow on Viola

Im playing with same fingering as fiddle so i think its sounding Ador instead Edor...probably closer to Abore..lol

@ABitRusty  ol scratch is sounding pretty good there--good piece.

Weather's warm here, too - gonna be 82 today.  Spring is definitely here--already out with the weedkiller.

I'll join the party, it's just going to take me a couple of days--smile

Love it , you must have much better ears than me as I didnt hear it go out,  I like the change of speed and the double stops.

Just ran through one once, and I may upload it tomorrow,  but I will probably have to read it as I wont have time to memorise, hope thats okey dokey.

@ABitRusty - Sounded great to my untrained ear and really got caught up in the tune and its exuberance!

Here is my contribution to the party, and I'm amazed that I'm the first to join!

@ABitRusty and @stringy - Thank you both, what I lack in talent, I make up in enthusiasm!

Just so ya' know, this was another print/learn/record effort. I think I learn different things doing this rather than the normal practicing a repertoire.

@ABitRusty -

Fabulous!

Definitely love New Mown Meadow on
that over-sized Fiddle of yours!
You and Ol' Scratch are getting along VERY nicely,
like long lost buddies - really sounded GREAT.

Proof positive that a Viola is a FIDDLE!

Thanx for starting THE GREAT OUTDOORS PARTY!

Had first runthrough with this last night,  not had time to memorise it so I cheated and read it feom the session, did the first part and when I got to the end of it realised it was repeated, quite funny, you can hear the gap, I think I look a bit surprised as well when I noticed the repeat, I put some new pirastros on yesterday as well, going to try  pro arte next time I think. I like the tonicas but I think they are far too Bright at first, which I am noticing more and more.

Thats great @stringy!   thanks for joining in.  This is one that gets played a bit here.  Ive heard it at the restaurant/pub place and at sessions.  Think its one of those tunes thats good to have down.  Great job.. I think i like the sound of the strings for what its worth enjoyed that!

Thanks @elcbk.. that gif looks like me and my white grey one day when walking...add the hooman after getting tangled in leash.   As greys go...she was doing the im dying greyhound howl..i was the one that almost dislocated shoulder.

@ELCBK & @Mark - Thanks, I'm enjoying these quick learn and record, but have to also concentrate on longer term and technique improving items, even though these are more fun!

@stringy - Nice addition to the party, and if you hadn't mentioned your problem with the repeat, I never would have noticed.

Nice party. Loved all the songs. I am ready to put away my winter hats and coats, now. Well, I am ready, the weather has agreed, yet.
