This is a party for all those sad tunes and laments that may have touched a chord inside

👏👏👏That was fantastic, @stringy. I actually gave that song in one of my books.

Now, this is my kind of party. I can make any song sad, 😭😭😭!

Give me a bit. I have not played in a while.

I might do this with my viola. I have to give my arm a rest though.

Would be good to hear the viola, give it a deeper sound and add to the feel

Brahms Lullaby, Fiddlerman.com version. Played on Fiddlershop Soloist 15.5 Viola.

I might do another later, and might try to do this one a little better. I do know there are a couple of issues.

Thats excellent, and extremely fast as well, I thought you would have taken days or weeks, really like the sound of the viola, rich sounding, youve got the party going. Thanks for getting into it so quick

Thanks, Stringy.

Now that we can do audio, I really try to participate. I really could not do videos. This was fun. I am going to work on it. I know there is one note, that is played often, that I really not happy about. I don't have confidence with it and every tome I need it, I think too much. So, continuing to work on it, will be a good thing, and work on other missed flat notes, but that one, I think it is the open D string. I don't know why, but I have issues with it, very weird.

@stringy , my timing is off quite a bit, at least it sounds that way to me this morning. Something else I will work on. I have a hard time not rushing anything that is not a quarter note.

My timing has never been much good, I now listen to others to try to get it correct, and if there is a part I cant work out by ear, I take a quick look at the music. My main problem is that if I think something should be faster in a certain part I find myself playing it faster, cant seem to help myself ;)

Beautiful, Mouse! I love the deeper tones of the viola. You have such a nice, clear sound.

@stringy your performance made me think of being on top of a windy cliff...just staring into space....contemplating. I've never heard that tune before but it's very lovely!

@Mouse hearing you play Brahms Lullaby made me think about my childhood! My mom had this cassette tape of classical music for babies that she would play over and over for me. And playing it in your viola was a great choice, love hearing the deeper tones.

Thinking about joining this party soon. I have the Traveling Fiddle with me at the moment so this would be a great time to do it.

I'm an adult violin learner just coming out of a 4-year hiatus!
