To drive the cold winter away, 17th century baroque
Not had much time in the last couple of months, and may be short of time until after xmas so here it is early.
For those like Emily who may be interested in its history I provide a link,

@stringy -
Ho! Ho! Ho!
I LOVE this tune - really enjoyed your playing of it!
I learned this one a few years back off a 'Colonial Christmas' album, along with a few other tunes on it (maybe there were 2 similar albums). Time for me to learn some new ones!
THANK YOU for getting me to check the Archive! There's some VERY COOL info on this ballad!!! ...and some interesting publications I hadn't heard of - might be worth checking out! 🤗

Thanks Sharon for the kind comment and for taking a look, hoping you wil jump in with a duet maybe, no pressure though.
Abitrusty, I actually thought of you when I came across this one, I know you like the ones with a sad sort of feel to them, I have bn takin a look at these old English ones lately, dont know if you have heard of the playford dance master, but there is a whole book of these 17th century tunes for free on various sites, worth taking a look at

Both great versions mouse, must say the intonation especially with the fiddlerman is bob on. Didnt hear a wrong note bang in tune.
Is the Parker an electric fiddle? If not did you play it in a different room because I hear reverb in there, sounds excellent though. Thanks for joining in and especially so quick

Yup just read your blog, didnt realise a member of your family had made it, like I said I hear a slight reverb to it, which doesnt happen with the fiddlerman, but while thinking about it could be that it rings better than the fiddlerman, I think it has a really nice tone, bell like.
Just about to read your history of it now
