I thought I was a fanatic about Christmas, but this is why everyone loves the Cello!
Jesse Ahman's Christmas Cello - THREE HOURS!
Throughout this piece you'll hear my cello arrangements of many different popular Christmas Carols. I improvised the duet part to each song. This meditation is meant to stir up sentiment, help process the emotions of the holidays and such. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday. Thank you for being such a positive listening audience. I love you all! Cheers.

I was thinking how great the duets in the OP would sound on my Viola!
...which I haven't played in quite a while.
It's really nice to hear these played briskly on the cello!
For me, I can't even begin to think about playing tunes 'briskly', especially on lower/thicker strings - until I can make myself 'feel' the energy I want to put into the bowing. I HAVE TO FEEL IT, running through my veins, BEFORE I even start moving the bow!
....some days it isn't easy to find that energy within myself.
Sometimes it's difficult to get myself to even 'pretend' there's such a thing! 😵 I have to really dig to remember what makes me feel that 'energy' & WIND IT UP!
More & more I want to blame a lot of things for not having it, but with a little clearing of my thoughts, a little look ahead, possibly a little humor (and if all else fails, COFFEE 😁) - energy 'magically' appears & I play faster... and the extra effort it took never fails to make me feel better.
Wishing a little 'magic' for everyone!
