Glad you liked it folks. Good question, Naska, about the Canon in D performance. It will have to remain a legend, much like the fish that got away, as, unfortunately, the camera was not on at that particular time.

I can vouch for the fact that Fred did an excellent job on the cello!

Thanks so much Toni, Naska, and Robin.  Sure wish you guys could've made it!

Thanks Fred, would've loved to have been there. Maybe it'll be possible in a future one.

@KindaScratchy:

Awesome video Diane - Thank you!

And please send a thank you to Ted for filming the event for us.

Pierre mentioned 10 whiskeys at one point. So let's see.....by my calculations, you started the day with violins, and ended with fiddles! Is that about right? tongue LOL!

Seriously though, what a great get together!

Ah ha! I could finally post! Thank you FM! i switched to Mozzila fox or whatever it is instead of explorer.

Fred and Diane, Sorry for my late response because I haven't been able to post for a long time! My family and I had a great time.  It's the first time my daughter and I jammed with a group:)

Thank you Fred for your great hospitality and thank you Diane and Ted for the great video!  I like how my daughter's bowing directions were always opposite of others' -- she was doing her best by sight reading -- my fault -- both of us didn't practice enough.

It was nice meeting you all, Fred, FM, Diane, and Ted!

Thank you!

Glad to see you back :-)
I would like to find out what the problem is with Explorer some day though.
It was nice meeting you and your family too.

It was very nice meeting you, too, PKY! And it was nice to meet your husband and daughter, too. I enjoyed jamming with you and your daughter.

I think it's great that you're learning to play the violin together. And, BTW, I love the chin pad you knitted (or was it crocheted?) for her little violin.

So, we are about 2 years past due for one of these - or has it been replaced by street jelly? If there is enough interest, I might be able to host a get-together in Kansas, depending on the timing. After oppressive heat and before howling winter is a pretty narrow window around here sometimes.

Great point!
I have a crazy idea. Don't know how many would be interested but it could be a blast. I want to organize a Fiddlerman Cruise on one of the big cruise ships that travel from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
The cruise would entail social get togethers and outings, group lessons, private lessons, projects, chamber music, master classes, and even possibly a performance or more. I would advertise the Fiddle cruise here and elsewhere to get a fairly nice comfortable size group of people together.
For those of you who haven't been on a cruise, all the food is included and obviously the rooms. :)
The Caribbean is a fantastic place to cruise and if we do it right before spring, we would most surely have great weather as well. My guess is that we could pull it off a 7 - day cruise for around $1000 plus tips and travel to Fort Lauderdale.
Thoughts?

I would soooo love to cruise and jam with Fiddlerman pals in the Caribbean. As Toni said, maybe with some notice in order to save up and work out schedules, it MIGHT be possible. Can't commit right now but definitely something to seriously consider.

Love the idea going on a cruise ship, but still saving up ($ and vacation time) to go back to Malaysia, it would be about the same price as the Malaysian trip for the three of us :( hope I win a lottery jackpot:)

I'm surprised to only get one interested. I was expecting many more.

Oh, I love the idea of a fiddlerman cruise, but I doubt I could make it happen.

Let the bow flow.

Cool. Maybe we can tie it into a finance plan or something. Even make it later and a savings program.... Is the problem the financing or the time off?

$ is the biggest thing for us, if I want to go to florida, it would be a family vacation, so the expense would be X 3. Time off? maybe, depends on what time the event is. My work place closes between Christmas and New year, so if it's during that time of a year, time off is not a problem.
