hello to all. i sell old antique vintage violin labeled jb gagliano 1726, lob 356mm. this is a very rare antique violin dating back to the beginning of the 18th century; a very unlikely find! it is in excellent condition, specially for its age. this violin is gorgeous looking and it's sound is even better, exactly the kind of sound you would expect from a violin from that period. it's very deep and sonorous, but also very well balanced and focused. i only find violins like this one a few times a year, they are very hard to find and their condition is not only that good. but here we have an exceptionally good sounding violin offered with very low reserve, a true steal! its also important for me to mention that the arching on this violin is very well carved and although rather high, this violin does not have tubal sound. the price $2500, pick up or shipping. as per our policy, you can try our instruments for 7 days, money back guaranteed. please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

how DO YOU find these things Barry? I've seen so many copies of these old instruments it bores me to look at any others.

Guess it isn't a copy... or it's a very well seasoned one.

LOL

They still should've provided those links that you did. exactly

Wonder if they get any potential buyers from ads like that?

I went through 2 pawn shops and 2 peddler malls and all I found was 2 $50 violins selling for $200 and a 1/2 that was selling high as well.

Oh well.  I also saw a 1950's violin at the music store with a lion head.  It sounded horrible but looked cool.

I would love to find something like this on craigs list..

If it was a real Gagliano I would be interested. afro

It would have a certificate by now. Recently a Gagliano sold for $200,500 at an auction. One of my former teachers, "Thomas Moore" had a Gagliano. I always dreamed of having an instrument like his back then.
