So I went to my local music store today and thought I'd buy a new bow. I picked out a carbon fiber hybrid by recommendation of Barry and the shop clerk. I purchased an Ophelia Hybrid model... Nothing to fancy but much better than the "club" my violin came with. I rosined it up with my new "Jade Rosin" and began to fiddle around with it...(Which was a loooooong process since the Jade rosin was brand new as well LOL). When I noticed that the bow was bent/warped..... Upon further inspection of my 48.00$$ bow I noticed it wasn't bent by any means. It was the frog being lose that gave the bow the appearance of being warped/bent. I figured I would take this new bow apart and see if I could fix it myself instead of returning it.... because how many parts are in a bow, right? Praise the Lord I was right lol. I loosened the eyeled screw 1 full turn (Two times around) then reassembled the bow, now it's fine! Awesome job I must say considering I may have ruined 48$ lol. Overall I'd have to say that this job was an easy one if you are comfortable working with tiny eyes and screws. A tip for any who venture to do the same: use a drop of remington gun oil or something similar to lube the eye this will help much in reassembly.
Any thoughts or comments/questions are welcome!
God bless everyone

Hey Kevin, I'm from lancaster PA! The jade rosin is awesome in my opinion, A LOT easier to clean than the dark art craft rosin I've been using. I spoke about it more in depth in the Rosin post by rosinedup.
Yeah as with everything I try to do it myself.....I may make mistakes(costly ones) but I learn from them, and in the long run I save myself much money!
