The recorder may just look back smile   It is very difficult and only tamed by experts.  But it so happens that one of the greatest composers for recorder who ever lived is alive today.  Michael J. Starke.  Brilliant composer.  I'm sure he would be glad if anyone played his music.

Try this:

My favorite harmonicas are Suzuki Pro Masters, then Hohner Special 20s and then Lee Oskar.

Oliver posts in Quicktime Audio. I don't know what file format. You may need to download a plug in for Quicktime. It works ok here, running WinXP and Firefox web browser.

MP3    It looks like a toolbar.

I think maybe QuickTime is resident on line ? (i.e. this site) ?

I think it is the first option listed when uploading to this site, right? It can't be alphabetical. So I would think it meant the preferred format. Or player.

Maybe you can try the Japanese 3-string Shamisen. Its a interesting instrument. Mike Penny is a Shamisen player. His teacher(Sensei) has classes in Los Angeles, CA.

16 years of experience and relearning.

Fascinating sound. I wonder how many hand positions are on that fingerboard and what one would use as a point of reference. Looks like long fingers would definitely be an asset. surprised
