I'm getting excited! I've been practicing for a couple hours today and I would have Lux Aeterna down very well if my 4th finger were stronger. But, I can play it pretty well considering my 4th was incapable of moving a week ago. So I've been mimicking this particular youtube version and I can even pluck the strings like the violin is doing and play the "chords" or beat that the looped violin does until the melody kicks in and even play the part that the cello is doing. I'm really excited. I feel like I can actually play something that people know. I wish I had a way of recording sound or a camera or something so that I could record all 3 violin parts and cello part myself and overlap them. Anyways, I'm just gettng really excited and no one is around to share it with so I figured I'd post to my fellow violinists! Maybe if my wallet will allow it I'll be able to record something some day.

Matt, great song, that would be very cool to see!  Can't you just use your phone to record yourself playing along to the track; then just upload it.

No, that would require me to have a good phone. blink I'm not a phone kind of a guy. I have a cheap one that I could care less about. The fact that it takes pics is more than I'll ever use. I'm very computer savvy I just don't have a camera or mic so I'm sure I'll get one eventually.

I would kind of like to know how this guy does it:

LOL, R-up, I was gonna say, "what's this got to do with playing the violin", until I realized it's all the same person in the vid.

Very clever, dubbing.  hats_off

Now we see the possibility of one-man chamber music.
