Not sure what bunny ears grip is. Can you describe it or take a picture of your hand holding the bow?

basically...the middle and ring finger are together and the hold onto the frog of the both...at angle..the ring finger also covers up the usual circle on the frog. The pointer finger is curled on top of the leather grip on the bow and the pinky rests on top of the bow as well. In the end the ring and middle finger are down and the pointer and pinky are raised up..kinda flopping like a bunny's ear.

That sounds bad. I guess there is a good reason for this term but if I had to loose two fingers on my right hand I would choose the middle and ring finger. The most important fingers are the pointer and pinky. You don't really need the other two.

Fiddlerman's tutorial on how to hold a bow is very comfortable for me and I'm using his style until now. violin-student
