It is finally home !
I would like to thank you a lot fiddlerman. I did not expected so much from the first violin i bought seing the price, but the difference with the one i just received, even if the price was nearly the same is unbelievable.
The bridge is not falling apart, the microphone is really fixed, the batery holder is perfect, the pegs are not slipping out, the aspect of the violon is perfect...
Concerning the strings, i dont know for now, but what i can say is that the sound is great compared with the other one.
Some videos to come i think (happy birthday is on its way).
Thanks fiddlerman for this awesome low priced violin. I couldn't expect a lot much for the price, but i'm very satisfied !

Anyway i managed to reduce the amount of caracter, even if the review lost some information (namely on accessories).
For now, the only issue i see with the violin is ... the smell of the rosin
As i promised : Happy birthday :

It's a good start. How long have you been learning now?
I think this is nearly a week of learning (the first violin i got did broke very quickly :x). The other videos (twinkle twinkle only) are a page 1 i think !
One great way to improve is to listen and mark your part (that is if you have one) and try to find intonation faults yourself. Hearing what is wrong is a big step in self-improvement.
I think i know where i miss the intonation in the happy birthday, it is especially when it comes to 3rd finger on the E string. It should be higher (and same for the 3rd finger on A string).
@Samuel : I saw that you had some problem with the same violin, with buzzy strings. I think i have an idea of what could cause this. In fact, i tried to play two different ways. With the headset directly plugged in the violin, and with a cable from the violin to the microphone of the violin. In this last case, the strings are way more buzzy than with the headset only (actually the strings dont buzz at all with the headset ...). Maybe look into this ?
@Mad_wed : Hehe thanks ! I hope your violin will not break into your hands while you play it :(((

I know i keep posting very quick new videos, but i really dont want to loose the motivation. And this forum helps me motivate (because it means i can show people what i am able to do !!!)
Today i'm coming back with a new version of happy birthday. Of course, it is still not perfect (eheh), i still have some issues. Especially because i'm feeling some time much more comfortable with the bow, and when i'm playing, my hand spreads over the bow, and this means it is difficult to keep the pinkie still on the bow. However, i feel i can do variations of bowing now (soft smooth bow, or hard pressure). Some time, i comes to make my bow bounce, but i think i know when it happens.
An other question is especially oriented to people who have an electric violin : Do you know maybe a technique to make my violin sounds more "real" ? I know it will never be a real violin but i sometimes feel the sound would be very different on a real violin !
Stop talking, lets play with you guys ! Happy birthday, second shot !

Thanks fiddlerman ! I'm trying my best. I noted the D which was too high but i didnt eared the too low F#. I have to train my ear more !
To get your electric violin to sound more real you need a little bit of real effects. If you can afford it get a guitar effect box and add reverb chorus.
Do you think that i can "simulate" (by the mean of a software) the reverb chorus ?

Here is my latest try on twinkle twinkle. I admit i am slow to learn, but i was getting some trouble lately trying to manage how to play the 5th part of He's a pirate.
I have to confess that i did not succeed for now, and i really do not know if i will be able to make it. For a complete beginner, the 4th finger on the G string is really a pain ( i can do it but i really have to struggle a lot).
So i came back to easyer songs, just to practice a little bit much on bowing, and keeping straight notes.
Here it is :

Side note, i have these strange "glide" on string with no string "excitation" like at 0:33, how could i correct these ? More pressure ? More rosin ?

It coud be anything of all, You've listed... Try to play with full bow length for about 2-5 minutes (not necessary a piece, You can use just open strings) and try to keep the bow straight... And then play again Twinkle. Listen to the sound in both excercises... As i could suppose from the video this sounds appear when the movement of the bow is not very confident ... When You learn to use whole bow length - it gives more freedom for your right arm later when You play a piece.
