We have not been able to join you folks for a few months now because of everything Thomas has going on. I have never seen him this busy but honestly, he is thriving off of the attention he is getting now. He LOVES it. He is first chair in his prelude orchestra at the Bangor Symphony and he has been preparing for his very firsts solo with the orchestra, Concerto in B minor. He also is in the high school age Philharmonic orchestra as well(his is in 7th grade). Preparing for 2 upcoming competitions in April, masterclass in April plus his 9-10 pieces for his private teacher. He has been asked to audition for the first chair of the Philharmonic in August as well....The one goal he set out to do a couple months ago was to emulate his idol, Itzhak by playing Flight of the Bumblebee by the time he was 13(next week) because he watches Itzhak play it on youtube for the Ed Sullivan show. I told him I will give him until yesterday and then we absolutely have to focus on other things. Here is his final take of it and I think he did extraordinary.
